Project Spotlight: We customised Baby Shower Return Gift Candles | December 2025
Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a recent project that’s very close to our hearts at Ruh Qawia.
A few weeks ago, we were approached by a lovely couple, Neha and Rishabh, who were expecting their little one and planning a baby shower. Like most parents-to-be, they had already put together return gift hampers for their guests, but somewhere they felt something was missing, something warm, something memorable.
They visited our Dehradun store just about a week before the baby shower. They explored a few baby shower candle options with us, liked some ideas, but still didn’t feel fully convinced. So we did what we always do at Ruh Qawia, we paused, asked a few questions, and tried to truly understand what they were looking for, emotionally.
That’s when we suggested an idea that has been quietly winning hearts in modern baby showers, a cupcake candle with a teddy. We showed them a few variations and possibilities, and slowly, the idea started to feel right.
What we finally created was a cupcake candle topped with a teddy and a tiny balloon, soft, joyful, and celebratory. Something that instantly makes you smile. To make it even more personal, we also designed a custom triangle tag with a heartfelt note from Neha and Rishabh to their guests:
“Our hearts are full.
Thank you for adding your light to our joy.”
Simple, honest, and full of feeling, just the way we like it.
While working on the candles, they also requested us to style salsa glass jars that could be used to fill chocolates and toffees. We loved this idea because it allowed us to add another handcrafted touch to the hampers.
For the jars, we:
- Used baby-themed cutouts on the lids
- Customized a soft, minimal tag attached with a pearl string
- Wrapped each jar in natural jute with pastel ribbon accents
Everything was kept gentle, warm, and aesthetic, nothing loud, nothing overdone.
We truly enjoyed creating these return gift pieces for Neha and Rishabh. Projects like these remind us why Ruh Qawia exists, to turn emotions, milestones, and beginnings into something you can hold, give, and remember.
